Customised Stage Inserts
Image Solutions were approached by representatives from the Marie Curie Research Institute and asked to design a new stage insert for their Applied Precision DeltaVision systems. They asked for a design that would allow them to use a greater variety of dishes, meaning they could make significant savings on their dish purchases. When large laboratories such as the M.C.R.I. go through hundreds of dishes a day, it means even a 10p price difference per dish can soon add up!

Image Solutions were happy to assist, and gave the job of producing the new model to their Head of Engineering, Paul Cullingford, who designed and manufactured the stage insert using Imsol’s CAD/CAM technology.
The stage inserts are constructed in two pieces, with the bottom part being anodised aluminium, and the top half nylon polymer. The inserts will be professionally finished with a laser etched Imsol logo.
