Image Solutions Launch TissueMine - The Digital Pathology Automated Solution
Preston based Image Solutions has just launched TissueMine Which is a user friendly web based digital pathology solution. It has been designed by pathologists to automate the pathology workflow for research and development.
Improving efficiency, accelerating the workflow and minimising bottlenecks in an otherwise manual process. It is now possible to reduce analysis time from weeks to minutes without the process being subject to user variability.
TissueMine provides a superior, highly customisable alternative to the traditional manual analysis of tissue slides using a microscope. Iscan which is included in the package is a new high speed tissue slide scanner which can acquire images with unsurpassed speed and image quality capable of auto loading up to 160 slides.
TissueMine can analyse over 30 morphological algorithms covering IHC, H&E, CISH and FISH with user modifiable analysis parameters. Results are consistent since TissueMine standardises the slide scoring process to produce accurate and reproducible results. There are also customisable report templates.
Researchers, pathologists and toxico-pathologists can benefit from a rapid, comprehensive analysis and management of tissue images from Tissue Micro Arrays (TMA) or whole tissue more-slides. TissueMine can accurately analyse a 100 core TMA in under 15 minutes. Manually this would take 3-4 days and the tedious process is subject to user error.
TissueMine is a multi-site, multi-user system that provides the complete solution for acquisition, analysis, management, reporting and sharing of tissue images. The images can be measured, annotated and textual annotations added. Archieved images from iScan are automatically stored on 3i a robust image informatics platform.
Results can be exported to other programmes such as Microsoft word, powerpoint, Excel and statistical tools such as SAS and Spotfire. TissueMine can also work with LIMS, EMR and chemiinformatics systems. It also supports audit trails, digital signatures, archive and retrieve features.
